If the recent rebirth of Yezdi has piqued your interest and you want to get in on the action, the Roadster, the resurrected brand's entry-level vehicle, is the best place to start. Everything you need to know about it is right here.
The Roadster, like the rest of Yezdi's lineup, is powered by a 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The Roadster, on the other hand, gets its own tuning, resulting in output statistics of 29.7hp and 29Nm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox and has two exhaust outlets, each feeding into its own exhaust pipe.
The Yezdi Roadster is the only bike in the lineup with alloy wheels and, as a result, tubeless tyres. It rides on 18-inch/17-inch alloy wheels, with front and rear tyre sizes of 100/90-18 and 130/80-17, respectively.
The Roadster is offered in two variants – dark and chrome. The former has a slightly more barebones, outlaw look, with a small flyscreen, bar-end mirrors and blacked-out engine components, while the latter is more substantial, with a large front windscreen and conventional mirrors. Each variant has its own dedicated colour schemes, too.
Despite being the entry-level model, Yezdi has fitted the Roadster with a decent set of features. LED headlights and taillights are standard, as are completely digital LCD instruments and dual-channel ABS.
The Roadster's Dark variants cost between Rs 1.98 lakh and Rs 2.02 lakh, while the Chrome model costs Rs 2.06 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
